What we collect
We collect the information needed to fulfill an order: name, shipping address, email address and order contents. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers.
If you request a free ring sizer, we collect your name, email and mailing address to mail it, and the email joins our marketing list for the welcome code and news of new bands. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
If you add a band to your bag or start checkout and then leave, we may send up to four reminder emails about it. TargetBob, the shopping assistant on the site, receives the questions and contact details you type into it, along with the page you were on, and passes them to our sales inbox.
Our emails, from receipts and shipping updates to any marketing you have joined, are sent through Brevo, which records whether an email was delivered and opened. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
Cookies and similar tools
Our own site stores your bag, and the email you gave a signup form, in your browser's local storage, and your sign-in session in a cookie. Three more of our cookies record where a visit came from: mm_click (90 days, the advertising click id), mm_src (180 days, the first referrer and landing page) and mm_email (which of our emails brought you back). A fourth, mm_optout (one year), remembers the opt-out below.
Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used, in aggregate: which pages get visited and whether a visit ends in an order. It sets the _ga cookies.
Google Ads measures which ads lead to orders and lets us show ads to people who visited the site. It sets the _gcl cookies. After a purchase we send Google a hashed copy of the email address you gave at checkout so the sale can be matched to the ad click. The address itself is never sent.
Microsoft Clarity records sessions and builds heatmaps so we can see where the site confuses people. Form fields, including everything you type at checkout, are masked in those recordings.
If a live chat window is offered on the site, what you type there and any contact details you give go to the people answering it and are kept with the conversation.
We do not show a cookie banner. The site sells to US addresses only, and the opt-outs below work without one.
Your choices and opt-outs
Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer, or visit maisonmenashe.com/privacy-choices. It stops the Google Ads tag, its conversion events and Microsoft Clarity for your browser, clears the advertising click cookies already set, and keeps that choice in a cookie for a year. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as the same request and you do not need to click anything.
You can also switch off Google Ads personalization at adssettings.google.com, block Google Analytics with Google's add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and stop everything with an ad blocker.
California and other US state privacy rights
We do not sell personal information for money. Using Google Ads to show you ads on other sites may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, which is why the opt-out link above exists.
If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of sharing. We will not treat you differently for using those rights. Email sales@maisonmenashe.com from the address you used with us and we will respond within 45 days. You can also ask through an authorized agent, and we may ask the agent for proof that they act for you.
We do not knowingly collect or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Keeping and deleting your data
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data in Google Analytics is kept for 14 months.
To request a copy of your data or have it deleted, email sales@maisonmenashe.com and we will action it within 45 days.
