Find your ring size

Sizing is the single reason men hesitate to buy a wedding band online. Here are three ways to get it right, and if you would rather not guess at all, we will mail you a sizer for free, with no ring order needed.

Get a free sizer first

Nothing to buy. We mail a plastic ring sizer to any US address within one business day, and email you a 10% code to use when you order.

We use your address once, to mail the sizer. Your email joins our list for the code and news of new bands; every email has an unsubscribe link.

Three ways to measure

  1. Request a free sizer (most accurate)

Fill in the short form above and we mail a plastic ring sizer within one business day at no cost, with nothing to buy first. Wear it for an afternoon, then order your band in that size. The sizer is yours to keep.

  2. Measure a ring he already wears

Take a ring that fits the correct finger and measure the inside diameter in millimeters, edge to edge, across the widest point. 17.3 mm is a US 7, 18.1 mm a US 8, 19.0 mm a US 9, 19.8 mm a US 10, 20.6 mm a US 11, 21.4 mm a US 12.

  3. Wrap a strip of paper

Cut a thin strip, wrap it around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimeters. That is the circumference: 54.4 mm is a US 7, 57.0 a US 8, 59.5 a US 9, 62.1 a US 10, 64.6 a US 11, 67.2 a US 12.

Which rule applies to you

Measure at the end of the day, at normal room temperature, with the hand relaxed. Fingers swell in heat and after exercise and shrink in the cold, so a morning measurement runs small.

Our bands are comfort fit: the inside edge is domed, so the ring slides over the knuckle and sits on less skin. A comfort-fit band fits about a half size looser than a flat band of the same marked size.

A wide band fits about a half size tighter than a narrow one, because it covers more of the finger. For an 8 mm band the two effects cancel out, so order the size you measured. For a 6 mm or narrower band, only the comfort-fit effect applies: if you measured between two sizes, take the smaller one.

If any of that leaves you unsure, use the free sizer. It settles the question in an afternoon and costs nothing.

Sizing questions

What if the size is wrong when it arrives?
Send it back and we exchange it for a different size free of charge. Size exchanges are always free, and they do not count against your three Forever Fit replacements.
Can a tungsten ring be resized?
No. Tungsten carbide is far too hard to be cut and stretched the way gold or silver is, so nobody can resize it, which is exactly why we exchange the ring instead of altering it.
How long does the free sizer take to arrive?
It goes out within one business day and usually arrives within two to four days in the US.
Do you have half sizes?
Yes. Our bands run from US 5 to US 13.5 in half sizes. The range varies slightly by ring: a few are made in 7 and then 9 to 13, skipping the sizes in between, so the size menu on each ring shows exactly what is available.
